THE FOURTH GLORIOUS MYSTERY

The fourth glorious mystery tells of how Mary, the Mother of our Savior was assumed in to heaven. Her Assumption is a complete assurance of her heavenly intercession to all those who trust and pray through her. The Blessed Virgin Mary still owns over 50 titles following her works and wonders. Some of the titles can be gotten from the Litany that Catholic Christians recite. Among these titles, I can’t fail to talk about Mary as a helper of Christians. St. John Bosco always prayed through Mary and regarded her as a helper of Christians; with this, Don Bosco CALM as a Salesian Community has a reason to commemorate and celebrate the 15^th of August as our Blessed Virgin Mary assumes into heaven.

Fellow readers; let us learn to trust, continue to trust and pray through Mother Mary. Lots of graces will await and different favors will be granted following our continued faith, trust and prayer through her. It will be great joy for me if any one of us who came across this write-up takes time to recite at least three “Hail Mary…”if not the Holy Rosary.

LAND PREPARATION

Part of the cleared land awaiting new crop plantantions

Clearing of the land is the first and one of the essential steps in agriculture. It’s mostly done during the dry season where grown grass and weeds in the garden are burnt; and then the land is tilled. This has been done at Don Bosco CALM in preparation for the next season. The next season is going to see us in Irish potato production. At the moment, six bags of Irish potato seedlings that have been procured await plantation.

THE MAIZE BRAND AND FLOUR

A truck loaded with maize flour and maize brand from our garden

Finally our maize has been milled. We can now see it as maize flour and maize brand! Forty Five bags of maize weighing Fifty kilograms have been reaped. In addition to that, Fifteen bags of maize brand were also collected from the harvest. The maize was milled to the finest level, "Super or Number One".
