THE JOINT ROSARY

Written by Super User. Posted in Home

Madam Monica was blessed to host the Joint Holy Rosary at her home

In this month of the holy Rosary, Don Bosco Catholic community comes up with the idea of having joint Rosary said from different homes. The prayer will take place every third Sunday of each month and so far the beginning was exquisite.

On the 15th of October, Madam Monica and her husband welcomed us to their lovely home where we were to have the Rosary from. The Salesians, neighboring Christians and boys showed up for the prayer. After the Rosary, the Priest blessed the home (house) that hosted us with Holy Water and had a Prayer and blessing for the family. We were finally united with a special sharing and performance and then set off to our respective homes.

Great thanks to all those who managed to turn up. Thank you Madam Monica and the family for hosting us; we were greatly humbled.

“Pray the Rosary unceasingly to obtain special graces from Mother Mary and His Son”

TWENTY EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Written by Super User. Posted in Home

The Roman Catholic Church celebrates the Twenty Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. As usual we had all our two Holy Eucharistic celebrations; The Priest preached about "the banquet" and how we should prepare for the banquet. Below is a brief description of all the three readings to meditate upon.

The Lord GOD will wipe away
the tears from every face;
the reproach of his people he will remove
from the whole earth; for the LORD has spoken

I know how to live in humble circumstances;
I know also how to live with abundance.
In every circumstance and in all things
I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry,
of living in abundance and of being in need.

The king said to him, 'My friend, how is it
that you came in here without a wedding garment?'
But he was reduced to silence.
Then the king said to his attendants, 'Bind his hands and feet,
and cast him into the darkness outside,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.'
Many are invited, but few are chosen."

On the 5th of October every year, the whole world celebrates the teachers’ day where teachers’ efforts are recognized. The theme for this year’s celebration; “Teaching in Freedom, Empowering Teachers” calls upon all the teachers to create a friendly and captivating learning environment between the pupils, students, parents and other stakeholders like the government.

Our teachers at Don Bosco Primary School have had their outing at Buloba Forest Park to refresh and evaluate themselves to some degree. Round of Applause for all the teachers, May God continue to bless your efforts towards the education of the world.
